In my opinion Metroid Fuson is indeed superior to Super Metroid but tastes and views on that topic differ. I appreciate what Super Metroid did for the genre, transforming it from a rather eccentric exploration game to the epic series. But as a game, it leaves a lot to be desired, primarly when it coems to controls. Fusion, on the other hand, fixes up pretty much everything that was wrong with Super and provides even more dreadful and awesome experience.

I got it's Mr Pants when i was a kid, it was released late in the GBA's life, and it was cheap brand new. I can't begin to explain how many hours i spent on that game. It's so addicting.

Man I wish I never lost my old stuff. I had a gameboy and gamegear with loads of games. Tho it's simply astonishing how with such limited hardware, gameboy pulled off games that you just can't find on the gamegear. I had Mario Land, Metroid II, Final Fantasy Legends... Metroid2 and Final Fantasy were such epic games... just a marvel of quality development.

gbc was a great stop gap system. For the short moment more impressive the any colour handheld before it. The non backlit screen even in 98 was a smart move battery wise.

Are these all Amiga 500 games?

Metal Gear for thr GBC is great.

The "Blade" one is pretty good, the pixel art, the moves. Gameplay, 6/10. Pretty nice to look at

One port of Mortal Kombat is better than the Amiga version, it's the Jakks Pacific plug 'n play. It has all the music tracks, SFX and voice samples - and the gameplay is very arcade accurate. The DOS port is better as well, it's close to arcade perfect.

Do they work via mega everdrives on original hardware?

Probably my favorite top GBA games video I’ve seen. My personal favorite is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, but the most overlooked one I’ve played was The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. Found it better than its release on PS2. Had a really cool combat system where you can chain your elemental breath with physical attacks to juggle your enemies. Had amazing graphics too.

Why would you not include "Towers: Lord Baniff's Deceit"??? It's an actual Elder's Scrolls game in the flesh!!! on GBC !!

I'm not sure if it was on this list, But I remember sinking days into 'Monster Warrior Monsters'. If anyone here enjoys Pokemon, collecting monsters, and dungeons this might be a game you want to check out! There is also a breeding system that works amazingly well.

Thanks for the list. Setting up Retroarch on my iPhone as it was just released on the app store recently so I'm looking for good games across all platforms including ones like TG16 CD which I may have overlooked. Retroarch is tricky to set up but totally worth it once you get it going.

What no mention of bomberman quest, & other games? I know you are going to possibly compare it to the legend of zelda.

Getting to know the pc engine CD you get shocked at the difference between certain games. After looking at many games I couldn't believe Rondo of Blood is in the same system as so much poorly made games.
